STERILE SUPPLY TECHNICIAN-SOD - (T226535)
Description
To provide services to any area that requires re-processing of sterile instrumentation. To clean, assemble and sterilize instrument sets. To assemble and organize case carts for oral services. To stock supplies and operate all sterilization equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and report technical problems with equipment and autoclaves.
- To keep proper inventory of sterilization chemicals and supplies.
- To collect, clean, decontaminate, disinfect, and/or sterilize dental instruments, trays, and packs, and patient care equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure sterility and functionality of instruments and equipment.
- To hand wash and cold sterilize equipment as indicated per CDC sterilization guidelines.
- To provide services to any area that requires re-processing of sterile instrumentation.
- To clean assemble and sterilize instrument sets.
- To assemble and organize case carts for oral services.
- To stock supplies and operate all sterilization equipment.
- To perform other duties as assigned
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 - $21.95
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and one (1) year experience in Sterile Supply required. Currently Certified as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) with the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred. If candidate selected is not certified as a CSPDT, obtaining certification would be expected within 18 months of employment.
