As a Researcher Senior, you will have expanded responsibilities, overseeing complex or multiple research projects and providing strategic direction. This professional-level role involves mentoring junior researchers, managing project budgets, and ensuring the integrity and quality of research outcomes. Your expertise will be critical in guiding experimental design, data interpretation, and contributing to high-impact publications. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees complex or multiple research projects.
• Design and execute new experiments in the area of cancer biology and tumor immunology.
• Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results, including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
• Preparation of manuscripts for publishing regularly in high impact and leading cancer research journals.
• Assist with writing important grant proposals for obtaining extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense, and other funding agencies.
• Train and mentor new and junior lab personnel as needed with their projects and laboratory protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $60,835 - $62,000

Doctorate degree in a related field OR Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferred:

• PhD plus 5 years of related research experience.
• Degree field of biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, or a related life sciences field.
