Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator for MSTP PSDO is tasked with comprehensive data management, encompassing MSTP and PSDO grant-funded projects, both institutional and external, as well as program outcomes and performance indicators. Will assist with undergraduate and graduate-level course management. The position also assists with the operations of the Poster Printing Service Center, ensuring efficient and reliable services for faculty, students, and external stakeholders. This individual will collaborate closely with MSTP and PSDO Directors, delivering timely, precise, and actionable data for report generation, grant submissions, and strategic decision-making. Simultaneously, the role will handle the logistical and operational dimensions of the Poster Service Center, which includes overseeing printing requests, quality control, and distribution.

Under general supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel and logistical support for a defined department program. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May supervise support staff. Communicates, using a variety of media, with internal and external constituencies. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. May handle data management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and prepare data for internal and external grants and reports related to the PSDO and MSTP
  • Assist with course management at the undergraduate and graduate level
  • Assist with the operations of the Poster Service Center, including processing requests, quality control, and dissemination of goods
  • Other duties as needed per PSDO and MSTP

Salary Range: $15.00 - $21.95

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional computer (Microsoft Office)
  • Written, and communication skills
  • Be able to interact with a variety of UAB staff, faculty, and senior-level administrators
  • Be able to multi-task to meet the requirements of a fast-paced and changing work environment
  • Have excellent problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and customer service skills
  • Be able to work autonomously as needed, or as part of a team
