The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Psych - Behavioral Neurobiology, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I. The Sleep, Circadian, and Neuroimaging (SCN) lab is looking for a clinical research coordinator (level I) with experience in clinical research. The responsibilities encompass recruitment, screening, consent, study coordinations, data collection and analyses.

General Responsibilities

• To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
• To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
• To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Handles patient recruitment, screening, consent, and retention.
2. Manages laboratory inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking supplies.
3. Identifies and resolves operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
4. Implements improvements to lab processes and workflows.
5. Schedules participants' visits and coordinates between participants, study team, and other clinical teams management and analyses ensure accurate and secure records of clinical data and sample processing.
6. Manages data entry and storage.
7. Data analyses.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320

High School diploma or GED required.
