Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Psych - Behavioral Neurobiology, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I. The Sleep, Circadian, and Neuroimaging (SCN) lab is looking for a clinical research coordinator (level I) with experience in clinical research. The responsibilities encompass recruitment, screening, consent, study coordinations, data collection and analyses.
General Responsibilities
- To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
- To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
- To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Handles patient recruitment, screening, consent, and retention.
- Manages laboratory inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking supplies.
- Identifies and resolves operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Implements improvements to lab processes and workflows.
- Schedules participants' visits and coordinates between participants, study team, and other clinical teams management and analyses ensure accurate and secure records of clinical data and sample processing.
- Manages data entry and storage.
- Data analyses.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
- Comprehensive understanding of related scientific and clinical terminology.
- Organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of clinical research conduct according to GCP.
- Experience in clinical research preferred.
