Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Surgery - Cardiovascular/Thoracic, is seeking a skilled Researcher II to join their team.
General Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, to set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
- To collect, enter and summarize data.
- To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $15.50-$23.51
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in related field OR Associate's degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferences
- Related field of study includes biology, psychology, sociology and other social science degree fields.
- Prior work experience in a laboratory research environment, field research, data analysis and patient care.
- Prior research experience with medical knowledge in consenting patients and working with IBR is a plus.
- Data management skills (i.e. dataset creations, variables, data extraction, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word), good data management skills (i.e. dataset creations and data extraction) along with excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.
