Compensation:
Pay Range: $81,525.00 - $132,475.00 / year

Job Description:

To review risk management data and identify potential exposures. To investigate incidents. To make recommendations for quality improvement to enhance safety and reduce loss. To evaluate and manage claim files independently or with outside counsel. To respond to inquiries from staff regarding risk management including risk management on call duties. To develop and present educational programs for physicians, clinicians, and students on various clinical risk topics. To serve on hospital patient safety and quality improvement committees.

A Law degree or Bachelor/Diploma in Nursing or other Allied Health field and five years of professional experience required. Requires knowledge of Microsoft applications and database utilization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently also required. Clinical Patient Safety/Quality/Risk Management Experience. Claims Management experience. Admission to the Alabama Bar, current Alabama Nursing or other Allied Health license, or CPHRM, FASHRM required.
