The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a PROGRAM MANAGER - SON to provide direction in reviewing and recommending policies and procedures designed to enhance the operational excellence of a program/project to ensure success. To ensure the effective, compliant and efficient daily management of all operational and financial functions in support of the projects mission and in coordination with the School of Nursing Office of Research and Scholarship for such items as HR, Budget, IT, and Recruitment. To represent grant or contract funded program/project on internal and external administrative affairs by recommending alternatives and suggestions. To apply advanced knowledge of skills, methods and practices and some innovation, analysis and reasoning to choose appropriate alternatives from among pre-defined policies and procedures to complete work that includes successive steps and involves some non-routine problems and/or decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinates administrative and logistics support for project personnel and faculty and manages day-to-day activities.
2. Maintains communication with existing partners and the regional team.
3. Calls client referrals and schedules initial meeting with nurse home visitor on calendar.
4. Processes payment requests and requisitions in accordance with established procedures. Responsible for adherence to program budgets. Assists with billing review.
5. Orders supplies, equipment, makes travel arrangements and manages event planning for the Central Alabama team.
6. Inputs project data into database and works with Data Analyst.
7. Assists with planning, scheduling and maintaining records of team meetings.
8. Schedules data collection efforts and uses Qualtrics to prepare surveys and record data.
9. May assist in preparation of presentations and publications.
10. Participates in education/training opportunities that facilitate this role.
11. Schedules quarterly NFP Community Advisory Board meetings and invites stakeholders.
12. Facilitates compliance relative to University and SON and sponsor policies, program announcements, and procedures.

(Annual Salary: $45,395 - $73,770)
