Position Summary:
The Clinical Office Services Specialist I is responsible for registering new patient accounts, including insurance verification and patient registration. Processes credit card payments and posts to patients' account balances. Intake and balance all clinic payments daily. Accesses multiple insurance and hospital websites to retrieve information. Updates current database, answer phones, greet patients and sort and update returned mail.
Under direct supervision, performs of a variety of routine clerical duties in support of office operations. Selects the correct process from several clearly prescribed steps. Duties may consist of data entry, posting information to logs, typing labels and forms, maintaining filing systems, answering phones, greeting the public, copying material, delivering/tracking documents, monitoring inventory, ordering supplies and other clerical duties of a non-complex nature.
Salary Range: $15.00 - $19.50
LOCATED IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Preferred:
- Hard Skills: Experience working in a healthcare environment with patient registration experience; Strong customer service experience/skills.
- Soft Skills: Self-starter, ability to handle confidential information and willingness to be a team player.
