Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an ENGINEER I to work under the supervision of a senior engineer, develops viable system and component concepts and designs based on project requirements and specifications by applying the concepts associated with engineering. Produces the associated drawing for use in fabrication of hardware and review engineering design concepts for adherence to technical specification. Other duties include supporting the preparation of technical documents and provide support in the assembly, test, and checkout of hardware systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform modeling and simulation, processing and testing of materials, as well as collect, summarize, analyze and interpret data.
- Supervises lab equipment and supplies.
- Uses advanced knowledge of lab practices to direct and teach others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $57,940 - $94,150)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
