Description
To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization. To plan, coordinate and conduct research.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting Basic Science studies utilizing basic cell and molecular biology techniques
- Processing Human (Blood and Urine) samples
- Perform in vivo urine studies with harvesting and analysis of tissues
- Data management utilizing a variety of software (Microsoft Office, Prism, GraphPad, etc.).
- Collecting data and interpreting data in accordance with established procedures
- Performing routine analyses and preparing reports in the prescribed format
- Aiding in the training of trainees and other research staff Writing and editing manuscripts and abstracts as needed
- Presenting research at local and national conferences
- Specific training in cell and molecular biology with expertise in DNA, RNA, and protein analyses
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $63,125 - $64,000
Qualifications
Doctor of Philosophy, D.V.M. or M.D. degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR M.D. and Master's degree. OR Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
