Description
Responsible for the overall management of the educational and training initiatives for the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care. Serves as the point person for all educational offerings of the Center. Collaborates with the outreach, research and clinical leads to sustain and grow the training initiatives in palliative and supportive care. Responsibilities may include budgeting, networking/public relations, facilitation of training, grant coordination and reporting.
Responsible for administratively managing a large or complex University program or multiple programs. Provides input in the development of program plan and objectives with responsibility for achieving objectives within defined parameters. Typically supervises small staffs and are responsible for long range planning. Responsibilities include budgeting, networking/public relations, technical training and assistance, grant and report writing. May handle regulatory responsibilities, contract submissions and identify research funding. May handle event planning and oversight of construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall management of education activities with direction from Director, Associate Director, and Administrative Director for CPSC
- Serve as point of contact with external organizations in conjunction with setup and implementation of trainings
- Responsible for facilitating training sessions
- Manage reporting processes for all training programs by creating and administering pre- and post-surveys to attendees
- Promote Center educational training programs in collaboration with the program manager for Outreach
- Oversee payment to vendors/external entities as it relates to organizations/trainees, facilitators and community members Responsible for process of continuing medical education for applicable training programs in accordance with existing standard operating procedures
- Will be responsible for coordinating all the administrative aspects of a research program including advertising the program, creating and maintaining database of all applicants, trainees, Program Evaluation and Outcome measures, organizing of all the logistics of the trainings, and managing the sponsorship and scholarship application and award process, as well as payments to Community Advisory Board members and External Board members.

Salary Range: $51,270 - $83,300
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, public health, or related field
