OFFICE SERVICES SPECIALIST III: HILL STUDENT CENTER
The Office Services Specialist III is responsible for clerical duties and providing overall office support by means of, but not limited to, answering phones and emails and assisting any walk-in visitors. In addition, this position will manage inventory and procurement of all office supplies and equipment. The OSS III will be responsible for various human resource, accounting, and personnel matters related to student and professional staff within the department. As a Hill Student Center Operations team member, this role will also provide general assistance and support to the 8,500 events held within the facility annually.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform specific office and clerical duties including, but not limited to, answering phone calls, and emails and assisting any walk-in guests
- Maintain departmental databases, records, and files; develop detailed reports as requested to inform leadership on key financial and personnel matters
- Manage timesheets and payroll for 40+ student employees to ensure prompt and accurate payment
- Process all Human Resource ACT documents for the department
- Process all accounts receivables (internal and external) for the department
- Process all accounts payables by processing all purchase orders and payment requests
- Assist with space and event scheduling for the Hill Student Center, including giving tours to clients, answering questions, and providing general policy/procedure and reservation information
- Assist the Director in monitoring departmental budgets and financial stewardship
- Create an environment promoting and fostering student learning and development, and establish a staff culture that supports the Hill Student Center mission, vision, and core values
- Ensure consistent and quality service standards are met
- Investigate new and emerging trends and explore opportunities for growth within student center operations
- Maintain professional skill sets and certifications as appropriate for job responsibilities and as a professional
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of HSC Operations
Hourly Wage Range: $14.42-$16.83
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Must have great organizational skills and be able to prioritize tasks and needs. Attention to detail is required to be successful in this role. This position will attract and retain business for the Hill Student Center; I must have strong customer service acumen and enjoy building partnerships.
