Compensation:
Pay Range: $70,425 - $114,440 / year

UAB Medicine’s Supply Chain supports many departments and service areas across our organization. Our Strategic Sourcing team performs essential duties and is responsible for the negotiation and sourcing of supplies and equipment for the clinical enterprise. The strategic sourcing specialist’s primary responsibility is to negotiate supply agreements for UAB Medicine and to assist with the sourcing of products. If you are process-driven, detail-oriented, and have strategic sourcing experience for a hospital or health system. This position will be mostly remote with equipment and hardware provided

Job Description:
To manage a defined portfolio of products and services as part of the overall contract portfolio for University Hospital. To negotiate agreements optimizing price, delivery and terms. To maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information. To work with the resource utilization director and teams in an effort to select, implement and communicate contracts that support the needs of University Hospital. To monitor market trends and conditions to ensure that contract portfolio is benchmarked appropriately. To work with clinicians, physicians, and Health System affiliates to standardize and optimize across the system as appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
