PROGRAM MANAGER I - (T220055)

Description

This position will assist with all operations related to the training programs with a primary focus on fellowships and instructor/fellows. The position may participate in the development of program objectives and will assist with achievement of objectives within defined parameters set by the University and/or departmental policies and procedures or guidelines of the organizations referenced previously. This position requires the use of independent judgment to determine the best approach to accomplish objectives established in the program plan and specialized knowledge of graduate medical education as well as skills related to International Medical Graduates with varying Visa statuses.

Duties & Responsibilities

Participation in the development and implementation of program objectives with responsibility for achieving objectives within defined parameters set by the University and/or departmental policies and procedures or guidelines of the ACGME and/or American Board of Pathology. Assisting with achievement of objectives set forth by Program Directors to meet parameters defined by university, department, ACGME, UAB GMEC, and American Board of Pathology. Assist Program Manager II and other staff with training programs associated duties during times of increased effort that occur during recruitment of residents/fellows, onboarding of new trainees, and evaluation of program. These activities may occur outside of typical work hours. Assisting with fiscal management, budgeting, event planning for training programs, cross divisional support for Department wide events, and initiating reimbursements for trainees. 10. Microsoft Office, Marketing, and Qualtrics Degrees in related fields of Management, Administration, Business.

Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
