Description
General Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision, provides guidance and advice to students on such matters as course selection, course prerequisites, career planning and continuing higher education. Provides other counseling services regarding student academics or other aspects of student life. Makes referrals to other agencies or offices as required. Collects data related to assessment of students. Assists with student recruitment/retention and serves on special committees as needed. May maintain accurate student information and adheres to the strict confidentiality standards. Provides new student orientation and outreach services to junior colleges for undergraduate program admissions. May coordinate support services for students. May prepare special and recurring reports regarding status of students. May assist with departmental publications. May act in a lead or supervisory capacity. Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $48,000
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
