Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Cell, Developmental, & Integrative Biology, is seeking a Researcher IV.
General Responsibilities
Working with a high degree of independence:
- To oversee projects within the laboratory
- To assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation of lab activities.
- To collect, enter, summarize, analyze, and interpret data.
- To contribute significantly to the planning/design of studies.
- To help develop long or short-term goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with high degree of independence.
- Frequently uses discretion and independent judgement in the design and execution of tasks.
- Takes initiative and provides consultation to management.
- Provides overall leadership, development and supervision for lab operations and staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range $47,486.40 - $85,000.00
Qualifications
- Doctorate in a related field
- OR Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience
- OR Associate's degree in related field and six (6) years of related experience
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferences
- Experience in animal handling.
- Must have a neuroscience degree or related experience.
- Mice research experience.
- Wet lab experience.
- Data analysis
