Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Health Policy & Organization is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator III.
This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of Dr. Sartin's research program. Dr. Sartin's research program utilizes mixed-methods research to identify, understand, and ameliorate sources of disparities/inequities in childhood injuries and transportation. Current projects are focused on child occupant protection, creating novel interventions for autistic populations transitioning into adulthood, and injury prevention. This position will develop protocol-specific systems and documents, work with study team members and stakeholders to ensure adequate design, implementation, and testing of study aims, and train and supervise Research Assistants. The position will involve qualitative and quantitative data collection/analysis.
General Responsibilities
- To manage all aspects of assigned clinical studies including education.
- To develop protocol-specific systems and documents.
- To act as a consultant within area of clinical expertise.
- To identify various stakeholders to ensure adequate design, implementation, and testing of study aims.
- To assess and determine solutions for operational shortcomings for data procurement in protocol design.
- To maintain familiarity with appropriate Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Work with study team members and stakeholders to ensure adequate design.
- Implementation and testing of study aims.
- Train and supervise Research Assistants.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $60,835 - $98,855
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification preferred.
- MPH degree is preferred.
- Must have a solid understanding and experience with research methods, particularly those related to quantitative and qualitative human subject studies.
