Description
Position Summary:
Serves in the capacity of business manager, relieves department head/large division director or dean of administrative detail with responsibility for financial management/budget, personnel policy administration, space and facilities planning, grants administration, policy interpretation and enforcement. Conducts special projects, analyzes data and compiles reports regarding budgets, personnel and space utilization. Interacts with University administrative units and assures the integrity of department/division/school administrative and financial operations. Manages staff and handles strategic planning. Serves as financial/budget/grants management officer for assigned unit. May interact with administrators and assist with interdepartmental collaborations. May handle compliance related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
HSF and I-JAB General Ledger Accounts Management: manage all aspects of I-ISF clinical, administrative and payroll accounts along with I-JAB General Ledger Accounts. Management of these accounts involves assuring; budgets, variance reporting, balance sheets and procurement are complaint with all generally accepted accounting principles as well as federal, state and institutional policies, procedures and guidelines. BOII will provide timely and relevant reports internal and external stakeholders as needed. Duties may be revised if financial shared services pod is implemented within the SOM.
Clinical Trial Fiscal Management of the stated research program and BOII will be responsible for reconciling the budgets and approving expenditures for the research faculty. BOII will provide projections for decision making purposes as well as insure compliance with all federal, state and I-JAB research compliance regulations.
Human Resources: interfacing with faculty, staff and trainees assigned to the dermatology basic science program during the onboarding and exiting process, including postdoctoral assignments and visiting scientists. Will work closely with the International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) on the hires in which immigration paperwork is necessary.
This responsibility will be performed until such time as the SOM HR Pod is able to assume these duties and the scope will change to serving as a liaison between leadership, faculty, staff and HR Shared Services.

Salary Range: $60,835 - $85,000
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
