Pay Range: $18.85 - $30.65 / hour

UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation pavilion in spring 2025. The new hospital will include 78 rehabilitation beds and the latest technology – all designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Our team of highly skilled therapists practice in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care that’s focused on each patient and their road to recovery. We support professional clinical development by empowering our clinicians through mentorship and other growth opportunities that elevate our standard of care. Also, UAB Medicine covers the cost of obtaining certain professional certifications. Home to nationally designated SCI and TBI Model Systems, UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center provides physical, occupational, speech, recreational, and music therapy. Job Description:
To plan, direct, administer and evaluate programs of therapy as prescribed by the referring physician and as evidenced by the patient's needs. To maintain records and assist with program development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or a related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified or eligible to be certified as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) required.
