Compensation:
Pay Range: $19.80 - $32.15 / hour
- $5,000 new hire sign-on bonus (Full-Time only)

Multiple Shifts Available:
UAB Medicine supports work/life balance. The shifts available for this unit are:
- Full-time AM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-time PM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-time weekend AM and PM
- Part-time weekend AM and PM
- Flexi/PRN

UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital in spring 2025. The new hospital will include 78 rehabilitation beds and the latest technology – all designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Job Description:
Under general supervision, to provide nursing care to patients based on the nursing process, UAB Hospital Standards of Nursing Care, and UAB Hospital policies and procedures while ensuring quality of care. To orient patients and family members to surrounding environment, acting as a patient advocate. To collect patient assessment data and notify RN of potential problems. To evaluate patient s response to care and report findings to RN, document delivery of patient care, effectively respond to emergency situations, demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, meet patient s educational needs, and serve as a role model to other members of the patient care team.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
