Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Med - Infectious Diseases, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.
General Responsibilities
- To collect and record preliminary data for clinical research programs.
- To recruit and perform follow-up with research participants as protocols outline.
- To schedule visits according to research protocols.
- To assist in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
- To maintain familiarity with appropriate Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect and record data for the Multicenter AIDS Cohort (MACS)/Women's Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS) as well as other research studies.
- Collect, compile, and enter data into electronic databases and questionnaires.
- Implement procedures, maintain records, track progress, and conduct quality assurance on study protocols and data collection.
- Assist PI, Program Director, and Nurse Coordinator with regulatory submissions, and maintaining documentation.
- Work with the Program Director, Data Manager, and Nurse Coordinators to ensure data integrity and answer data queries.
- Conduct informed consent per GCP guidelines.
- Interview participants in clinical research studies and clinical trials.
- Document medications and procedures conducted at each visit.
- Compile and complete Case Report Forms (CRF) according to the protocol.
- Prepare for study monitoring visits.
- Attend project and required team meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
