Compensation:
Pay Range: $120,445 - $195,725 / Yearly

Job Description:
This position will work within our Therapeutic Policy Management (TPM) division to oversee and enhance safe medication practices at UAB Medicine. This role will collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:
· Develop, implement, and maintain medication safety policies, procedures, and strategies
· Monitor and analyze unsafe medication practices, error reports, and adverse drug events
· Conduct and/or participate in root cause analyses to identify contributing factors and implement corrective actions
· Lead and/or facilitate quality improvement projects focused on improving medication safety
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to medication safety
· Participate in therapeutic policy management administrative on-call program
· Represent the pharmacy department on various committees, subcommittees, or task forces
Preferred Experience:
· Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency
· Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 residency in medication-use safety and policy
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting
· Prior experience in medication safety, quality improvement principles, or related fields is highly desirable

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Pharmacist by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required.
