OFFICE ASSOCIATE II
University of Alabama at Birmingham
Under general supervision, this position performs standard clerical and administrative duties.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Reads, prioritizes, and routes incoming mail.
- Makes travel arrangements and reservations.
- Schedules appointments.
- Orders supplies, maintains databases and reports.
- Assists with special projects.
- Drafts and types of correspondence.
- Assist faculty with PowerPoint presentations, publications, and draft requested letters.
- Assist Neonatology directors, administrative supervisor, and team members with ongoing projects and research as needed.
- May supervise other support personnel.
- May handle confidential information, dictation, and transcription.
- May process medical record requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
Requires demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the secretarial function usually gained through formal education in secretarial science or secretarial experience and/or clinical experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
Written and verbal communication skills, Interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
Ability to work independently with minimal.
Salary Range: $16.50 - $20.00
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or GED
- And five (5) years of related experience required
