Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Associate – Fabric is responsible for supporting cushion and pillow production by inspecting incoming fabric for quality, accuracy, and defects. This role is tasked with verifying fabric specifications, documenting findings, and ensuring materials meet established standards before entering production. The position is also responsible for assisting the quality team with inspections, documentation, and process support across the department to help maintain consistent product quality.

Essential Job Duties

  • Inspects incoming fabric for quality, accuracy, color, pattern alignment, and defects prior to production.
  • Verifies fabric specifications, labeling, and documentation against established standards.
  • Documents inspection results clearly and accurately.
  • Identifies, tags, and reports fabric defects or variances to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensures approved fabric is released to production and non-approved fabric is properly separated.
  • Supports cushion and pillow production by responding to fabric quality questions or concerns.
  • Assists with quality inspections and documentation across the quality department, as needed.
  • Follows established quality procedures, standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintains organized inspection and storage areas for fabric materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months or more of quality inspection or quality related experience preferred; one year of experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification within one month of hire
  • Basic understanding of quality inspection concepts or ability to learn quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills
  • Ability to accurately document findings and follow established procedures
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain orderly work areas
  • Dependable attendance and consistent punctuality
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills for reporting quality concerns
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel

The position requires the ability to lift and or move materials weighing up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to distinguish color differences, with or without corrective lenses. Hearing requirements include the ability to hear clearly during in-person interactions and telephone conversations, with or without corrective devices.
