Job Description:
At Regions, the RRECM Loan Closing Execution Associate manages the closing and delivery of commercial real estate multifamily loans, primarily Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, from application through post-closing. This role coordinates with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and timely execution, prepares and submits required documentation, and confirms accuracy for final loan delivery and servicing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages the closing and delivery of commercial real estate multifamily loans, primarily Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, from application through post-closing
- Coordinates all Agency transactions with outside counsel, internal teams, and borrower parties, including insurance review, compliance confirmation, and deal registration/submission to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac systems
- Leads weekly deal status calls with internal and external participants to ensure timely execution of deliverables
- Confirms and certifies that all transaction requirements are satisfied prior to closing, including necessary approvals and documentation
- Prepares and submits lock confirmations and transaction-specific documentation for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac approvals
- Exercises decision‑making authority over all rate‑locking transactions, by signing trade sheet and determining when to lock interest rates and initiating the process
- Obtains and validates Fannie Mae’s official rate‑lock confirmation upon execution
- Coordinates insurance reviews with third-party consultants and resolves compliance issues
- Prepares and submits waivers to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac as required
- Completes loan funding calculations and closing workbooks, including reconciliation of all closing figures
- Reviews draft loan documents for accuracy prior to closing
- Prepares and submits wire requests for loan funding and validates disbursement of fees per commitment terms
- Collaborates with outside counsel, title/escrow, and closing partners to ensure timely funding and closing
- Exercises approval authority to authorize wire transfers for loan funding into escrow, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to the release of funds
- Issues final lender authorization to close and fund the transaction, confirming all conditions, documents, and requirements are satisfied before permitting settlement
- Reviews final loan documents, authorizes corrections, and ensures accurate upload and delivery to agencies within required timelines
- Uploads final data and documents to agency websites and prepares closing files for delivery
- Confirms loan information in systems and documents for servicing and boarding
- Makes the final determination that a loan meets all eligibility, compliance, and requirements, confirming it can be sold
- Holds final accountability for ensuring each loan meets all Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac eligibility and delivery requirements, directly enabling and safeguarding the agencies’ purchase of the loan—a critical step in secondary‑market execution
- Ensures compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- May provide advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Seven (7) years of real estate closing experience

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
