Job Description:

At Regions, the Enterprise Operations Optimization Manager is responsible for elevating enterprise performance by redesigning processes, optimizing workforce strategies, and deploying advanced technologies that strengthen efficiency, operational performance, workforce management, and customer experience. This position leads large‑scale operational modernization across multiple enterprise operations functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversees workforce management, capacity planning, and resource optimization for large‑scale front‑line and back‑office organizations
  • Breaks down organizational silos and drives a unified operating model across business units
  • Architects and executes multi‑year transformation roadmaps, including AI/ML (artificial intelligence/machine learning) adoption, automation, workflow redesign, and modernization of legacy systems
  • Partners in the implementation of enterprise platforms and performance tools to advance efficiencies
  • Drives automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and strengthen risk and control environments
  • Builds and scales enterprise reporting ecosystems, including KPI/KRI (Key Performance Indicators / Key Risk Indicators) dashboards, workforce forecasting models, and automated insights platforms
  • Establishes data foundations that enable AI‑driven insights and reduce reliance on manual reporting
  • Partners with senior executives across Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Operations to align priorities and deliver enterprise outcomes
  • Manages vendor strategy and contingent resourcing strategy to optimize cost and performance

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

This is a single incumbent position.

Requirements

  • Fifteen (15) years of senior leadership experience in operations, transformation, fraud, risk, enterprise strategy or related experience
  • Experience in workforce management, capacity planning, and contingent workforce operations oversight
  • Experience with digital transformation, AI/ML, automation, and enterprise technology roadmaps
  • Experience utilizing data analytics, forecasting, reporting, and performance management
  • Experience leading large, operational teams (500+ employees)

Certifications/Licensures

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent process improvement certification

Preferences

  • Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or other highly regulated industries
  • Background in payment processing, cash management, fraud operations, claims, and banking operations
  • Experience managing BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) / vendor relationships and global delivery models
  • Executive‑level communication skills with a track record of influencing C‑suite and board‑level stakeholders

Work Arrangement:
This is not a remote position. A minimum of 3 days is required in the office.

Location:
Primary location preference is Birmingham, AL. We will also consider candidates based in Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA.

Travel:
Position may require up to 25% travel.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Minimum:

$173,059.00 USD

Median:

$228,610.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
