At Regions, the Wealth Planner is responsible for creating comprehensive financial plans for the largest and most complex Private Wealth clients across the Regions footprint. The Wealth Planner will analyze data using financial planning software, then prepare and deliver presentations to Advisors and clients based on observations and recommendations developed during the planning process. This will be done in collaboration with the Wealth Management Teams and Specialists across Regions footprint. The Wealth Planner will be actively engaged with other Wealth Planners and provide peer review to ensure quality control. The Wealth Planner will also be proactive with teams and participate when asked in pre-call and post call meetings, strategy sessions, or client meetings in person if practical, or by teleconference.
Primary Responsibilities
- Works closely with Private Wealth Management Advisors across the 15-state footprint to identify planning needs and position planning services
- Prepares financial analyses for clients, including retirement analysis, estate-planning analysis, education-funding analysis, stock options analysis and risk management needs analysis
- Makes financial planning recommendations that will fit each client’s unique circumstance
- Prepares alternative proposals (“what if” options) for the client
- Provides ongoing support to help advisors and clients implement planning strategies and recommendations
- Provides fulfillment support to Wealth Strategists, creating analysis and reports as needed to model various financial strategies
- Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Five (5) years of financial planning experience
Preferences
- Juris Doctor (JD), however this position will not be authorized to practice law on behalf of Regions Bank
- Master of Laws (LLM)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of business succession planning
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
