At Regions, the Corporate Communications Business Partner works closely with assigned business groups to develop communication plans and strategies that support the groups' business initiatives and Regions' core values, mission, and strategic priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Builds relationships proactively with influential news outlets in Regions’ core markets and growth markets, as well as national trade publications and finance websites, securing value-added earned media coverage of bank initiatives
- Provides internal support, guidance, and expertise on best communications practices
- Executes communications plans that include business writing, media pitches, remarks for public events, and more, ensuring all are reflective of the business unit objectives and drive employee engagement
- Writes op-eds, speeches and other external communications on behalf of key business partners
- Collaborates with across various business units to align, prioritize, and execute plans
- Works with outside vendors on select projects
- Reviews, edits, and gains approval for communication deliverables for internal and/or external channels
- Provides input into new and innovative ways to communicate internally and externally while identifying and solving for gaps
- Stays informed on banking and related business unit trends
- Provides additional internal communications support on projects as assigned
- Researches industry topics and trends, optimizes content for organic search, revises and edits pieces, and collaborates with other writers and marketers to ensure consistency
- Develops articles and other forms of content based on current industry trends, Regions and market research and business needs
- Increases engagement with content by following SEO best practices and curation across platforms with teammates
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field
- Five (5) years of Communications or related experience

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
