At Regions, the Corporate Communications Senior Business Partner at this level works with key leaders and business groups to strategically amplify the company’s messages to key stakeholders across the bank’s extensive footprint and beyond. Associates at this level have extensive communications experience with excellent writing abilities, are able to quickly digest and explain complex information, and execute big picture communication strategies while paying close attention to every detail.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides support, guidance, and expertise on best communication practices, proactively monitoring and responding to emerging issues, including effectively working with internal colleagues and external media on urgent needs, quickly creating accurate, strategic, and relatable communications that serve a wide range of stakeholders
- Develops and executes communications strategies, which may include preparing crisis communications, drafting effective positioning statements, preparing public remarks, supporting internal messaging, creating news releases and/or developing related communications on complex topics
- Creates and oversees communication plans with rigorous attention to detail, including spending significant time gathering information, consulting with subject-matter experts and ensuring the resulting communications are not only fully accurate but also fully compliant and clearly convey Regions’ approach to serving customers and communities
- Reviews, edits, and approves communications deliverables for internal and/or external channels
- Creates new and innovative ways to communicate internally while identifying and solving for gaps
- Develops all content in the context of business, investor, governance, and societal trends and their intersection with Regions’ strategy and culture
- Responds to business and industry developments with timely and effective executive communications that successfully positions the company and its leadership
- Develops talking points, scripted remarks, and briefing documents for internal and external use
- Works with outside vendors on select projects
- Provides additional internal communications support on projects as assigned
- Advises and may lead the work of other business partners on various projects
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
- Twelve (12) years of related experience
Preferences
- Experience in financial services, government agencies, and/or other regulated industries
- May be required to provide writing samples related to crisis communications and emerging issues and/or emergencies

Additional Responsibilities of the Corporate Communications Business Partner Include:
- Produce quality writing that connects with target audiences, boosts engagement, and enhances brand awareness
- Research industry topics and trends, optimize content for organic search, revise and edit pieces, and collaborate with other writers and marketers to ensure consistency.
- Promote Regions Corporate Banking value proposition, mission and values through clear, compelling content
- Develop articles and other forms of content based on current industry trends, Regions and market research and business needs
- Increase engagement with content by following SEO best practices and curation across platforms with teammates
- Work with strategists, writers and others involved in content development to build editorial calendars
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, style and branding
- Creates and oversees communications plans with rigorous attention to detail, including spending significant time gathering information, consulting with subject-matter experts and ensuring the resulting communications are not only fully accurate but also fully compliant and clearly convey Regions’ approach to serving customers and communities
- Composes thought leadership and other internal communications for division executive.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
