At Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a large or complex department within the company. This position manages strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, reliable, and technically mature.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility
- Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility
- Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
- Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all interfaces
- Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Eight (8) years of relevant experience
- Two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience
Preferences
- Experience in Technology role in banking or financial services industry

What You’ll Do
Leadership & Delivery (75%)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Salesforce projects under tight deadlines.
- Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to prioritize work and drive execution.
- Improve team performance through agile methodologies, process refinement, and continuous feedback.
- Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability across Salesforce solutions.
Technical Contribution (25%)
- Provide architectural oversight for key Salesforce solutions, including integrations and data flows.
- Guide the team in designing and implementing:
- Salesforce architecture and data models
- OmniScript development
- API design and integration
- AWS Lambda-based services supporting Salesforce workflows
- Maintain technical excellence across codebases and platforms.
Needed/Preferred:
- 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture.
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, preferably in an enterprise or high-growth environment.
- Proven ability to manage technical teams in a complex, deadline-driven organization.
- Deep expertise in:
- Salesforce core platform
- Salesforce OmniScript (Vlocity/Industries Cloud)
- API development (REST, SOAP)
- AWS Lambda and cloud-based integrations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect) are a strong plus.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
