At Regions, the Digital User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer is part of a User Experience team with a clear purpose: we drive user-centered design at Regions for the betterment of our customers and our business groups. As a designer, you'll work as an active partner on inclusive, cross-functional UX squads throughout the digital product lifecycle to design innovative, meaningful solutions that create a desirable customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evolves design methodologies, processes and tools
- Leads complex design projects
- Translates complex business requirements and functional specifications into design roadmaps
- Creates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models, etc. resulting in low-to-high fidelity prototypes
- Contributes to and ensure designs are in line with our design system and industry best practices
- Owns and tailors deliverables that balance product requirements, platform constraints, and stakeholder needs to deliver intuitive and effective design solutions
- Ensures that UX standards are consistently applied across projects
- Evaluates new software, tools and technologies and assist in implementation of new tools
- Advocates for user-centered design and champion user experience
- Cultivates strong relationships across the organization
- Fosters consistent, open communication between all stakeholders
- Mentors junior designers and contribute to the growth and development of the team
- Participates in and/or conduct observational and usability research
- Participates in SAFe Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, Inspect & Adapt, PI Planning, and retrospectives
- Influences, coach and develop team members
- Consults with UX leadership to refine UX strategy and policy
- Facilitates effective design review sessions and foster an environment in which team members give and receive feedback
- Promotes understanding of and advocate for human-centered design
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and eight (8) years relevant experience with UX Design
- Or High School Diploma or GED and twelve (12) years of related post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience with UX Design
- Experience designing in insurance, financial, or highly-regulated verticals
- Experience in two or more of the following: user experience, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, research, product design, and/or user interface design
- Experience using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe, etc

- Ability to effectively collaborate with others and demonstrate the value of ideas
- Ability to prioritize resource workload to efficiently deliver results
- Ability to lead, influence and operate effectively in a highly matrixed and complex environment
- Advanced level skills in two or more of the following: user experience, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, research, product design, and/or user interface design
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative and flexibility
- Highly skilled in user experience fundamentals: user interface design, interaction design, research, and/or accessibility standards
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, data analysis and storytelling skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Experience with Mobile app design for iOS and Android
- Knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design, highly desired for this role

- Experience designing for mobile web responsive, mobile native iOS and android
Work well with ambiguity and can generate divergent concepts quickly.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
