At Regions, the SBA Commercial Relationship Specialist provides general administrative support to Relationship Managers within Commercial Banking to include Commercial Banking and/or specialized business segments of Agricultural Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Small Business Administration, and Franchise Lending.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists Relationship Manager(s) by performing daily support activities related to client relationships and keep respective Relationship Manager informed when appropriate
- Acts as point of contact for Commercial Banking clients for all servicing requests related to client relationship
- Attends weekly scheduled meetings with Relationship Manager(s) to discuss workflow items such as renewals, new pipeline items, servicing requests, past due reports, etc.
- Compiles reports for Relationship Manager(s) such as 360 Report, Weekly Sales Report, OneView Pipeline Report, Maturities, Past Due and Exception Reporting
- Facilitates and manage credit application workflow as it applies to the appropriate credit channel including collecting financial information from client, submitting facility application and managing loan workflow to closing
- Manages post-closing requirements including tickler requirements and exception citing's
- Manages Relationship Manager(s) loan maturity pipeline, ensuring that renewals are approved and closed in a timely manner
- Acts as liaison between Credit Products and the Commercial Team with both underwriting and paralending processes and procedures. Manage due diligence requirements from field
- Assists Relationship Manager(s) with sales support functions to include marketing requests, client and prospect presentations and building prospect information files
- Opens new deposit products for clients
- Works closely with Treasury Management team to successfully onboard new Treasury Management clients as well as provide guidance to Treasury Management clients to the appropriate resource for servicing
- Maintains client records for both loan and deposit accounts for clients
- Maintains OneView administrative data to include updating client contact information, merging client records, manage pipeline reports for renewals and create prospect/COI records
- Manages data organization within RGA to ensure client records are properly grouped for accurate 360 reporting
- Supports Relationship Manager(s) with miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years general banking experience
- Or, a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years banking or client support experience
Preferences
- College degree
- Previous commercial lending experience is preferred,
- Prior SBA closing experience is a plus. 7a, 504
- Paralegal for commercial lending is a plus.
- Prior work with a law firm working in commercial closing a plus.
- Prior work with a title company a plus.
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
