Summary:
Maynard Nexsen PC is seeking a full-time Matter Information Compliance Analyst. .
Essential Job Functions:
- Works closely with both the Billing Department and the Intake and Risk Management departments to ensure the complete, accurate, and timely garnering of relevant data in the set-up of new matters so that the firm can optimize billing outcomes.
- Suggests and implements processes and workflow improvements under the manager's guidance to ensure accurate billing setups.
- Collaborates with the firm's Billing department regarding the distribution of recaps, timely submission of appeals, follow-up procedures, and mark-downs of time and disbursements.
- Review current rate structures and alert management when the agreement is stale. Works with the LPA and attorney to update rate structures and AFA setups.
- Review matter plan requests and create/update new matter plans after analyzing OCGs.
- Suggests updates to the OCG training program for legal and billing staff.
- Understand the matter intake workflow process and make recommendations as needed.
- Performs user acceptance testing in various software the firm uses as they pertain to billing.
- Subject matter expert in Aderant (time and billing software)
- Responds to requests for information as pertains to matter data and rates.
- Provides backup support to all functions within MIC.
- Assist in preparing quarterly statistical reports, as management requires, identify matter set-up compliance issues, rejections (by client and timekeeper), successful appeals (by client and timekeeper), etc.
- Manages new assignments and projects assigned by management

Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience, with working knowledge of OCG and/or the insurance industry.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Document Management System.
- Experience with Elite or Aderant software applications
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- In office position
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
- Normal office environment; no unusual physical demands.
