This role provides a blend of operational, administrative, and analytical support, including coordination of insurance and claims activities, subcontractor compliance tracking, and executive support for the Chief Risk Officer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate risk data, supporting departmental processes, and ensuring effective communication across internal teams and external partners.

Position Summary
Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Risk Operations Specialist to support the Risk Management department. This role provides a blend of operational, administrative, and analytical support, including coordination of insurance and claims activities, subcontractor compliance tracking, and executive support for the Chief Risk Officer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate risk data, supporting departmental processes, and ensuring effective communication across internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Risk Management team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense reporting
- Support the Chief Risk Officer with executive-level administrative tasks, including scheduling, preparing materials, tracking action items, and managing confidential information
- Coordinate and maintain insurance documentation, including certificates, policies, renewals, and correspondence with brokers and carriers
- Assist with claims administration by tracking claims, maintaining documentation, coordinating updates, and supporting communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Support subcontractor compliance and prequalification processes, including document collection, tracking, and follow-up
- Process and track insurance-related invoices, including broker invoices, subcontractor bond invoicing, and other risk-related expenses
- Maintain organized and accurate records for insurance, claims, and compliance documentation in accordance with retention standards
- Compile, reconcile, and analyze data to support reporting, including preparing summaries, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
- Utilize Excel and other tools to manage datasets, identify trends, and ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate departmental meetings, events, and team activities, ensuring logistics and materials are prepared in advance
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 4-7 years of administrative, operations coordination, or executive support experience, preferably in risk management, insurance, construction, legal, or finance environments
- Experience supporting senior leaders or executives and managing confidential, time-sensitive information
- Working knowledge of insurance administration, claims tracking, and subcontractor compliance processes preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion
- Experience with ERP systems, PowerPoint, SharePoint, or Power BI is preferred
- Minimal travel required
