Project Planning & Initiation
- Lead project intake, discovery, and initiation activities with business and IT stakeholders
- Develop project charters, scopes, and detailed project plans that define objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, dependencies, and assumptions
- Ensure project requirements are clearly documented, reviewed, and approved prior to execution
- Identify key stakeholders, roles, and decision points early in the project lifecycle
- Manage assigned projects through execution, monitoring progress against scope, schedule, and milestones
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation plans
- Adjust project plans as needed to address changes while maintaining alignment with project goals
- Lead project close-out activities, including final documentation and lessons learned
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
- Provide regular, clear project status updates that include progress, risks, impacts, and upcoming decisions
- Facilitate project meetings to drive alignment, resolve issues, and support timely decision-making
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and manage project risks related to scope, schedule, resources, and readiness
- Incorporate change management and transition considerations into project plans when applicable
- Coordinate with supporting teams to ensure solutions are ready for implementation and adoption
- Use established project management tools, templates, and reporting standards consistently
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and status reporting
- Contribute to process improvements by sharing lessons learned and best practices
- Support coordination across multiple projects, including awareness of dependencies and priorities
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience managing IT, systems, or technology-enabled projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently from initiation through delivery
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to diverse audiences
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Background in business analysis, process improvement, or hybrid PM/BA roles a plus
- Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
